Happy Happy Joy Joy

As promised - here is a better photo of my Halloween door at work. My theme "Butterflies Amongst the Pumpkin Patch"

What a lovely sparkly green butterfly.

Nice yellow and black butterfly.

I'll post more pics as the theme is spiced up especially before Halloween.

I love Thursday's at work because I have a team building session with my staff. The whole program is called Heartbeat; however, I add a little more to it.
"How Well Do I Engage with my Team?"
Well.............I do engage with my team but during our session we have to share our hobby or skill that is non-work related. Today I got to share my passion of designing and making pug dolls, pillows and ornaments.

My staff was fascinated with how I do my hobby. And then I let them have it!!!! It was a race!!!
Who can thread a needle the fastest.

The Tense Concentration.

The aggressive concentration.

The determination to aim and focus.

To the VICTOR goes the VICTORY!!!! Anita is the winner.

And then I let them experience working with beads. Nadine with the small tiny tiny tiny beads.

Melissa trying her best.

Arianne and her determination. So admirable.

Anita was sewing away. She did a great job.

Steady, Steady.

It was a good session. But then my staff surprised me with this cupcake cake. Aren't they sweet? It was bosses day and they gave me a cake.

As another posting comes to end I leave you with this pic, my Blog Buddies - the man on the left is my husband. I miss him dearly. Until next time........

THIS AND THAT

I visited one of my Blog Buddies, Melissa & Emmit the other day and she had made this crochet toy for her bird. Then she asked what project we were working on.

Well I was hustling with THIS. It was going onto my office door for the Halloween door competition. They are photos of Halloween in the past at work. I gave it a little touch of raffia and leaves. THAT is what I did.

My office door. Well this was taken with my BlackBerry. I'll take a better photo and post it later. My theme is "Butterflies Amongst the Pumpkin Patch." As Halloween approaches I will be adding more to THIS theme.

Check out THIS bundle of "EYELESS" pugs

THIS is a pic of the buttons I selected to

EYE these pugs and THAT was THAT. For eyes. Still need to add the PUG tags.

THIS is Shady and Max watching me do THIS and THAT

THIS is my favorite part of pug designing and creating.

THAT is a fact.

THAT needle you see is making

THIS. It's almost done.

THIS is Zach. He is looking at

THAT tiny green bug parked on our security door. It was a weird little thing.

THIS is something I received in the mail. It was a Thank You note from a friend. He and is wife thanked me and my sons for attending the funeral of their family member. Handwritten thank you notes are rare these days.
Even Post cards. These were post cards from Ed, my husband who is stationed in Germany. And this ends this blog today. When was the last time you wrote a personal note, letter, thank you card or letter? I'm going to write a letter tomorrow. Until next time my Blog Buddies.

The First Week of October 2010

I am amazed at how much time I spend on travel time. Check out the concern look on my face when I was behind the wheel the other day.

I was concerned about this. Do you see it?

Not a relief station in site to take care of my concern. Want a closer look of my concern?

I was running out of gas. HELLO KAREN!!!! Get to a petrol station fast.

Oh great!!! Contruction Construction Construction.

Whew - made it to refueling the Camry and I'm off again to my next destination:

Had to make it to an Executive Board Meeting for GHS Booster Club. This is my team.

In almost every job description there is the requirement to do "Other duties as assigned."

Yep, I'm an executive; however, for safety reasons I got down and trimmed the carpet.

No special training needed to snip snags in the carpet.

Oh darn - got caught tossing the strings down the stairs.

Snip the carpet and then move on into another meeting. This is the GHS Booster Club General Membership Meeting.

I did work on my pugs each night as I lay me down to sleep; however, last night I wanted to attend a play. And so I did. Headed to the University of Guam's Fine Arts Theater to watch "Scapin." Check out the stage.

Zach was so nice to go with me.

And that's about how my week went my dear Blog Buddies. Until next time I leave you with this pic of me trying to do the one arm extended aim and shoot attempt to photograph me and Zach having a blast as we waited for the pla y to begin.

Full Day? - That's an UnderStatement

Going into month Number #2 since hubby left to continue his military career - I took it up a notch with my Pug Art. I began with this YingYang Pillow

But then I had to set that aside because Abby, Max and Shady needed to go potty.

HOLD ON GUYS - let me spread out Pug-in-a-Basket first on the couch so his paws could dry better

Then I let em out.........they are so patient

OFF THEY GOOOOOOOOOOOO

Check out the paws on this potbelly pug. Nope - don't need to rotate this pic. The little rascal is drying upside down.

Oh dear.........more pot bellies on their back.

Max is done and in he goes!!!

Abby is done and in she goes!!!

Shady has been done and she awaits to escort me to............

the pantry for their goody snack.

All that is left to do on my Palaksi Pug are the eyes - I sewed on the last tiny bead on its tail last night.

On the road again to pick up my kiddies at the volleyball game in Andersen.

Ever seen a wall of jungle????

I had only 50% attention from my passenger. He had his iPod earphone on the other ear.

Turned in my 4Runner for service and I had to drive a Toyota Highlander. This model didn't have the radio control buttons on the steering wheel. Yep, it was an inconvenience to reach over to the radio to change the channel.

Tammy with a Sit Pug Sit pillow.

My home was bustling with activity. Dinner, grand kids, teens and with all that going on, I was determined to get started on another

PALAKSI PUG

I love painting. It's faster than sewing beads onto the piece I've designed to give it Pazazzzz. Even when I paint and there is a lot of activity going on around me, I always think about wonderful things that went on before this moment. Like.....

Participating in this game with the sales team at work. We got into a line and using our impeccable communication skills, we had to put ourselves in ascending order, by our age. It was great to be shoved to the back because someone was older than I. I always thought me and my colleague here (who is also somehow my cousin) were the same age. But she is slightly ahead of me........slightly (wink wink)

Painting is Peaceful even with a lot of noise

It is indeed a compliment that the dinner I cooked is literally licked clean off the plate. This is my grandson Xavier

See that soccer ball in the air? It has shattered a window and a picture frame. But then you sacrifice material things because your child loves a sport. And you just take the window and picture frame and get it fixed.

I'm still learning how to use my camera.

Focus

Focusing

Zoom

Zoom

Okay - So this was my average Monday my dear Blog Buddies. Until next time I share with you this pic of using the zoom lense outside far far away. Can you see the pug beneath the taro leaves?
