Pug Snort-A Team Blog in Guam

Greetings from Guam!!!  It's us MA-kytah and Shady.  Today Ms. Karen didn't work on dolls that look like us.

Instead..............she made us pose with this pouch.
As you can see we were the least bit interested

I MA-kytah would rather cuddle with Ms. Karen when she is sewing beads onto pug faces.
While, I Shady - Ohhhhh! I'm always interested in what Ms. Karen is going to do.

Ms. Karen wants to try drawing and painting pugs.  She bought a beginners kit.   HMMMMM me MA-kytah and me Shady wonders wonders wonders how this aspect of Ms. Karen's talent is going to pan out.

Oh Lookey - she is alsmost done with her first piece.  Yippeee she should give us a treat for our enthusiasm.

Yikes!!!!  Look at what Ms. Karen found on her work table.  Man oh man that 16 year old is going to lose his retainers if he just leaves it lying around like this.

Dryer Sheet Doll RECAP

It's Done!!!!!  Yes indeed.  What fun it was brainstorming the idea of doing something with this stack of dryer sheets I collected because I just couldn't toss them in the trash
The sheets are fairly durable; however, to be 100% sure it will endure the shape of a doll I cut the pattern in layers of 4 sheets.

A bit slippery when I tried to sew the paws on - I managed to sew them little rascals onto the body.

When I painted the doll I was amazed at how the fabric absorbed the paint.  I used the beads I picked up in Hong Kong last week.  I love sewing beads onto Pug Faces.

The Pillow is also made of dyer sheets.

Woo Hoo look at that expression.  So sweet.

Happy Friday

It is beautiful and sunny outside today as we are on the doorsteps of a three day weekend.  HOORAH!!!!

This past week was filled with back to back meetings and just catching up because of the one week off.  I tell ya - taking off for one week puts me like three weeks behind at work.  I always look forward to the weekly sales training though.  Nothing like getting all pumped up and motivated to serve out customers.

The ice breaker in this pic was to form a long line.

We then had to walk along the highway in front of the dealership and wave to the motorists.  We sure did receive a lot of waves back and plenty honking.

Then we returned to the showroom and did some exercises.  Great stuff.

The American Cancer Society event Relay For Life took place last night.  Each year this event brings out thousands of people who walk around the track to raise money for the fight against cancer.  My company always attends in full force.

And then it poured and poured and poured.  It's like it never fails.  After the companies march around the track - the rain comes down.

I took the boys to Relay for Life since they were 3 and 2 respectively.

Still having fun fun fun creating my first dryer sheet pug doll.  Here is a peek.  I am using beads I picked up in Hong Kong.

More peeks to come my blog buddies.  Until then Pug Hugs to all.

Jet Lagged

I sure did have a bad case of jet lag today as I tried to get back into the swing of things at work.  (sighing) vacation in Hong Kong was so much fun.............really and truly.

I blogged about how I squeezed in a little bit of work while in Hong Kong.  Here is the team I met with.  Aren't they a lovely group?
I wore flats to get to their office.  It took me 1 hour of walking and riding the subway to get to their 22nd floor.  Whew.............and then 1 hour of walking and riding the subway to get back to the hotel.  It was indeed an experience for me.

And so the unpacking and getting back to normal began.  Oh Dear Dear Dear - look at who jumped into the luggage.

winky wink wink

Say What?

Remember this pic?  Well......these are the dryer sheets that have been used in my dryer.  I collect them and thought about what I could do with them.

I figured out what to do with them.  Here is a peek:

Haven't figured out what the collection will be called but it will come to me.

Here is another design I drew out, cut, and sewed from Dryer Sheets

I am really excited about completing the dryer sheet dolls.  Hey!!! maybe that's what I'll name the designs
DrYeR ShEeT DoLlS
I love saving the earth.

That's it for now Blog Buddies.  Until next time I leave a pic of other dolls I'm working on.

I Missed My Pugs & Abbey

Five days in Hong Kong were five days too long for my Puggies and Abbey.
I missed them so much.

We arrived home on Guam @ 4 a.m.  Needless to say I was jet lagged and tired so I layed down to sleep.

I slept so long that I am happy that I woke up on time to make it to the airport to pick up my 15 year old who flew in from Okinawa.

His team made 5th place in the Far East tournament.

We are all home safely - and back to normal we go.

Check out this pic.  I can't wait to share what I am doing with it.

Take care my blog buddies.

Sushi and New York Fries

This was the last vendor we patronized today before heading back to the hotel to relax and prepare for the next leg of our journey.

Wow, Kylie caught a view of this building we figured was an apartment unit.  Check out all them air cons.

Here is Tammy in the courtesy shuttle to the ladies market.  We were excited about going to shop for girlie things.

But first I had tummies to fill and we found this rotary sushi restaurant.  My kids and I love sushi.

The sushi was just the appetizers.

We wanted to try the New York Fries because we don't have this on Guam.  It was so so.

Pepper Lunch seem to have drawn a bulk of the mall meal goers.

The fries were hot and so so.

This ladies district was absolutely packed with people.  There were soooo many people.  Way too many that we just found our way out of that district back to the hotel.

As we waited for the bus - I took pics of
Tam and Kylie

Lil and Zach

Me and my children

Zach and his nieces

Look at this Chines Peep

Whoap Whoap - It's Lil

So as Kylie had taken photos of tall building with aircons.

I took a photo of this tall building.

Our trip is coming to an end here in Hong Kong.  I have one more business meeting tomorrow.  Kids are heading back down to Harbour City.  Then I meet up with them later on to pack up and head to the airport.
Until then my blog buddies - I'll Blog from Guam.
